Judging by the atire its the period of renoir and unless I'm very much mistaken, the city of Brussels, a rare and well balanced festival of funambulists, meeting and passing over wires over water in the "Place de Saint Caterine"

Back to the streets

Anaspitos always felt at home on the streets, the highs and lows of his life often left him feeling ropey.. often he couldn't see where he was going next, sometimes, he just couldn't see

New snaps just in.. Anaspitos caught napping on the wire, was it sleepy tea? Or was it just a great opportunity to soak up some summer sun, who knows?

Anaspitos Devizes a plan

The question; why did Anaspitos cross the road?

The answer; to sit for a cup of tea in the middle!

That's right, another sunny day and Anaspitos carefully treads a wire between the rooftops, enjoying the view of the many onlookers and pausing mid journey only to shower rose petals down on the crowd. Once coming to sit to haul up a pot, pour a tea and enjoy a hot cup of milky oolong!

Suir was a fine day

Could have been the 30's or maybe even later, sure it must be Ireland and over the Suir to be sure. Anaspitos out on a picnic methinks, judging by the gas stove strapped to his back, he was off to fry an egg for lunch 10m above the river Suir in Clonmel Tipperery!

Ahh yes, it was a beautiful crisp summers eve, I remember it well.. Anaspitos was snapped taking a friends pet Aardvark for a walk down the line, like 12m up and 122m accross.. if only there weren't those dazzling lights, the view might have been even more splendifferous!

winter in blackpool

dressed to impress, here we find Anaspitos out for a stroll through the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.. -you know you've arrived when you've made it to ..."Blackpool"..... ....always time for a last waltz here!

back to nature

   If you went down to the woods that day, you'd have been sure of a big surprise! for a cacophany of children and friendly village folks... Anaspitos took to the skies.

fast forwarding in to modern day macedonia... we catch anaspitos trotting along a little wire, en route to a construction site by the looks of things...

what a wondershow

At first glance, I was sure that i was looking at a photo of Anaspitos but a second look determined as i recognised that saucy french beret, that it is none other than Marcel Mouche of the Cirque de Mouche performing in one of his many guises for the Insect Circus in Proffessor Vanessa's Wondershow.. i seem to remember that Mouche is a distant French cousin of Anaspitos with a similar performance style.. as for the date, looking at the fronts of the sideshows in the background. it must be somewhere in the 1950's or perhaps a little earlier.

somehow, Anaspitos mus have ascented to the rooftops of the old fire station and by my reckoning, he got up with only longjohns and a vest for morning excercise. how to see if your clothes are dry? walk along the washing line and see.

a walk in the park

This shot shows Anaspitos taking a stroll in the park, amidst giants of trees, a wire was rigged and with the aid of his trusty pole, Anaspitos is seen seemingly seemlessly gliding through the air to the safety of a plain tree.

was it just a stage he was going through or is this just the direction in which we found Anaspitos pointing at the time when he was spotted at the famous City Varieties hall in Leeds. either way, he has clearly not lost the balance of his legs!

full of eastern promise..

in a land of magic and wonder, here we see Anaspitos full of youthfull charm! sharing a grin with a few new friends as they congregate together upon the banks of that river most holy.. the ghats of the ganges in all their long history in Varanasi, might never have seen the likes before nor after.

intense on tents

from circus life we are told, is intense in tents but on tents in search of great views.. here we see Anaspitos on top of the world (well, on top of a big top) getting a different view of life at the invisible circus!

Not wishing to get muddy footprints upon the recently tarmacked street in east london, we can see that the good sense of our Anaspitos has lead him to string his rope accross the road... thus posing the question; why did the rope walker cross the road?

summer holiday

this is an unusual snapshot.. here we catch Anaspitos on his summer holiday. Still ropewalking of course but here he looks like a shadow of his former self... like he's in an invisible circus!
